Dear Christopher VanGoethem

I hope you are very happy, and manage to get by these horrid 14 months while you were prosecuted for murdering one puny romanian. I understand that it was a horrible incident, but i'm sure, considering that you got acquitted for the charges, that you soon will forget about your road trip to our country. What 22 million romanian will not forget is that Teo Peter is no more, and you managed to prove to your loyal friends (who prosecuted you) that he wasn't even there, in the car. We know that this is the land of vampires and zombies, and probably our beloved rock singer was already dead, and being a zombie and all, probably wondered around the crashed car, and that is how 22 milion people saw his body taken out from that cab.
we don't care about your "girlfriend" (your wife should care about that), or the fact that no american was there to test your blood for alcohol (gee, lucky you), or that you already had an accident for drunk driving in march 2004, the only important thing are these:

-there was a STOP sign: you should've stoped
-you shouldn't have lied about your whereabouts that night. although i realize some romanian witnesses are not enough to prove that you were there, and that you did crash that car, and Teo Peter was indeed there, and he indeed died of that accident.
-your mother shouldn't compare what she felt for 14 months with the tragedy Peter's family is living from december 4, 2004. There is no base for the comparation, giving the fact, that the one who is responsible for the accident is alive and well (and with no punishment at all), and the one who wasn't to blame is DEAD.

And one final question:
if one romanian would've killed, let just say, a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, would you let that poor guy be prosecuted in Romania ?

and if he'd get acquitted, would you let it be?

I THOUGHT SO...
